UNICEF'S Designer Dolls

HELLO DOLLY: This year the designer dolls known as Les Frimousses (or little faces, in English) for UNICEF were conceived with nature in mind. Forty-five dolls were created in collaboration with designers and fashion houses, including Chanel, Jean Paul Gaultier, Givenchy and Christian Dior. The designer dolls will be on show at the Petit Palais from Nov. 29 to Dec. 4. They will then go under the hammer at Paris’ Drouot Montaigne auction house on Dec. 13. The reserve price for each little toy is 300 euros, or $417 at current exchange. UNICEF is to distribute funds raised from their sale to help vaccinate children in Sudan’s Darfur region.

How creative could be a man?

I adore this designer, he's so intelligent and strategic in this collection.

The presentation of his "Chiaroscuro" Spring Summer 2012 collection was accompanied

by Greek songs covers.

This collection is inspirded by the classic femminility of the cinema Divas of the '50s,

like Audrey Hepburn.

Classic summer dresses, usually sleeveless with nipped waist.

As for the amazing T-Shirt he dressed at the end of the catwalk with the famous phrase

"Δεν ελπίζω τίποτα, δε φοβούμαι τίποτα, είμαι λέφτερος.

("I don't have hope in nothing, i don't fear anything, I'm free.") 

of Greek writer and poet Nikos Kazantzakis which is written in Kazantzakis graveyard also, 

was very intelligent and tributing.

Ποσό δημιουργικός μπορεί να είναι ένας άνθρωπος?

Τον λατρεύω αυτόν τον σχεδιαστή, είναι τόσο ευφυής και στρατηγικός σε αυτή του τη συλλογή.

Η παρουσίαση της ανοιξιάτικης συλλογής του "Chiaroscuro" στο catwalk,

συνοδευόταν από διασκευές ελληνικών τραγουδιών.

Η συγκεκριμένη συλλογή, κατά την γνώμη μου και σίγουρα γνώμη πολλών, 

ανεπιφύλακτα διεκδικεί μια από τις πρώτες  θέσεις στο 

London Fashion Week.

Η συλλογή παραπέμπει σε κλασσική κινηματογραφική θηλυκότητα του '50, 

όπως το style της Divas Audrey Hepburn.

Κλασσικά φορέματα του καλοκαιριού, 

συνήθως χωρίς μανίκια και nipped στην μέση.

Όσο για το υπέροχο T-Shirt που φορούσε  ο σχεδιαστής 

στο κλείσιμο της συλλογής του, με την επιγραφή,

"Δεν ελπίζω τίποτα, δε φοβούμαι τίποτα, είμαι λέφτερος." 

οπού χαράχθηκε στον τάφο του γνωστού σε όλους μας Έλληνα μυθιστοριογράφο, 

ποιητή και θεατρικό συγγραφέα

Νίκο Καζαντζάκη, ήταν πρωτότυπο και τιμητικό.
